Web Design and Development Steps

Phase 1: Define Site Goals

During phase one, we will meet and get aquainted with the individual who will head up your web design project to determine the focus of your message. Once we have a solid understanding of your needs and goals, we prepare design drafts and provide you with a project analysis. (please see Client Survey and Communications Brief.)

Phase 2: Develop Site Structure

In phase two, we determine how the information will be delivered to the user and establish the paths they will take as they navigate throughout your website.

Phase 3: Site Design & Build

Next we begin to develop the graphics and layout of your website. During this phase, we require the text and photos that will be used on your website so that we can prepare the first full comp of the interface for your approval.

Phase 4: Web Programming

Depending on your needs, we deploy the appropriate web programming language to support the "back-end" processing of the information that will be gathered (if any) from your website. With the back-end programming in place, we build out the HTML portion of your site around the graphics, utilizing any number of web programming languages. These may include (but are not limited to): CSS, PHP, JAVASCRIPT, etc.

Phase 5: Testing

This is where we run through major platforms (Mac/PC) and browsers (Internet Explorer™, Netscape™, etc.) available on the market to ensure that your website will perform as desired in all situations.

Phase 6: Site Release

As a result of the rigorous testing we performed in phase five, with your approval, we are ready to post your website on the Internet for your target market’s consumption.

Our step-by-step implementation plan ensures your web or redesign project stays on track. ETN Multimedia will monitor site structure, content and cost at all times. Our web designers understand the fine line between powerful visuals and clutter, and create sites with amazing custom graphics that are still usable and search engine friendly.
